(1954-1983) Start-up stage

The predecessor of our hospital, Baoji Maternal and Child Health Station, was established in April 1954. At that time, the work of maternal and child health was mainly based on the promotion of scientific knowledge about maternal and child health. She founded the "Maternal and Child Health News", "Maternal and Child Health Wall News", "Compilation of Children's Health Information", "Kindergarten, Health Care Publicity Posters", etc. Issuance by parks and primary medical institutions. With regard to family planning work, a family planning surgery team was formed and various county family planning operations were conducted.
1979 Maternal and child health care and family planning services are separated. The full name is Baoji Maternal and Child Health Center. The office is located in the Municipal Health Bureau. It has 12 staff members, divided into child care groups, maternity insurance groups, and office groups. January 1984 Our hospital moved out of the Municipal Health Bureau and moved into the new building. By October 1984, regulations and systems were formulated and established, and the writing format of medical records and prescriptions was unified to prepare for consultation.

(1993 --- 2004) Development stage

1993 Began to create a baby-friendly hospital. The obstetric department opened the same room for mothers and infants, and implemented responsible care. The establishment activity received gratifying results that year, increased breastfeeding rate, significantly reduced maternal mastitis and postpartum hemorrhage, and positive signs in newborns. The incidence rate has greatly decreased. In October 1993, after being inspected and accepted by the National Baby-friendly Hospital Evaluation Team, our hospital became the second batch in China and the first batch of baby-friendly hospitals in Shaanxi Province.
